Dear friends,

I write to celebrate April 22, Earth Day.

Earth grounds us all. It is where it all begins.  Earth’s soil, water and air are pure, intentional and deeply nurture each one of us. Everything earth provides us with is the result of a wholesome rhythm.

Ode to Earth

Water. It runs freely. At times peacefully; at times, taking with it

everything on its way. Offering no excuses; just listening to its own state of mind.

Throughout its existence, earth has known there is no void in wholesomeness. It’s aware that water lacks wisdom; it flows, or overflows recklessly. The air is patient and waits to be called to become a storm.

Earth is aware that water and air will sculpt its surface, and it knows the difference between quietness and rage…

It feels pain as water breaks apart it’s surface; and knows the wind bristles her.

Yet, an overflowing river will eventually return to its course, and the wind will become the breeze that oversees the transformation of what was to what is.

Throughout centuries, earth has generously germinated in its womb, crops to sustain the life of the hand that fed her. In all fairness, earth also eradicates from its soul whoever torments her…

Once the cycle is over,

Soil, air and water will find solace in each other.

The air will remain gentle until it is called to become a storm…

While rivers quietly flow to the sea under cries for forgiveness,

The soil is still grateful when man allows her to rest every seven years.
