Dear Friends,

Did you make a New Years resolution for 2026?  Maybe the same one you made last year?   Dad was big on New Years resolution and on building habits, so my siblings and I made a New Years’ resolution every year and signed off on them.  That’s how my sister learned to play basketball; my brother became an “A” student, and that is how I learned to swim and to appreciate classical music and to plan for “time on my own.”   Every year as I get older my resolution is to cultivate – to not let go of the legacy our father instilled in us - the mindset – of continuous spiritually growth; to condition the power of our mind over our body, and to build physical and emotional endurance to serve our purpose.

It’s not that I don’t get tired; I do.  It’s that I have learned to be aware of and listen to the signals my body, mind and soul send me asking to pause.  On my birthday, I like to take the day off and audit my life, I search deep inside to know how I really feel about the important things in life.  Just don’t diminish the scope of the question.   If you are living your purpose, you will feel gratitude, fulfillment and joy – with what you have right now – flashing back the times in the past when you could only daydream about the life you have been allowed to build, so far.  Your joy, peace and fulfillment is the strongest motivation to continue in the path set for you.  The joy may be overwhelming and to each their own, it is natural to take a moment to turn to our faith and thank God for everything.   We very well know the essence of our creator was there during the process.

If it feels empty; no echo, no answer, not even a hint in your mind, heart or soul; it is time to capture or recapture the “essence of you.”  And what is the essence of a person.  The essence of a person is his or her unique WHY.   Like children we want to know, why…, and like children we ask; and why is that the answer; and why if it is not the right answer.  Pause.  No need to rush, but you have homework to do that no one else can do for you.  If you wish to find your purpose, plan on scheduling time to find your why.  It does not need to be fancy; it requires for you to be alone.  Time to let go, surrender yourself to find your truest self. No mind-altering substances, no smoking anything, and no, no cellphone. Only quietness, and your willingness to purposely seek meaning, the purpose of you “being you.”

It was my father who with so much tenderness opened my mind, heart and soul to my inner self.  I was about thirteen. “I am your earthly father,” he said; “I am the chosen one to take care of you while I live.  However, if I am ever gone, we all belong to our source of creation, where you will find yourself surrounded by love and purpose.  Seek to know while in quietness, while by yourself, be true and say, ABBA, I’m here.  Wait in silence. Continue to seek in place away from the noise of the world, a peaceful place where you can let go; surrender and connect with your true self through your creator.

I completed the first draft of a new manuscript. I will pause for a few days before I start making the revisions and keep you posted on my next book.

Thank you all,

Elaine
